Granite Countertop FAQs
How much do granite countertops cost?
Our granite countertops start at $39.99 per square foot installed; some colors cost a little more. That price includes measuring, fabrication, the edge, the faucet hole, installation and a free sink. With our 35 sq ft minimum, a small kitchen starts at about $1,400.
Quartz or granite: which is better?
Both are great choices. Quartz is engineered stone: the color is even throughout, it never needs sealing, but you should use a trivet for hot pans. Granite is natural stone: every slab is one of a kind, it handles heat well, and it needs sealing now and then. With us, granite starts at $39.99 and quartz at $44.99 per sq ft installed.
How long does granite countertop installation take?
About 5 days after you approve your price. Installation itself takes one day.
What is included in the granite countertop price?
Measuring, the granite, fabrication, an eased or 1/4" bevel edge, the faucet hole, installation and a free stainless kitchen sink. No hidden fees.
How is the price per square foot calculated?
We add up the square feet of your countertops and backsplash and multiply by the price of the color you pick. There is a 35 sq ft minimum.
Do you install granite backsplashes?
Yes. We make 4" and full-height backsplashes from the same granite, so they match perfectly. Backsplash square feet are added to your countertop total.
Does granite need sealing?
Yes, now and then. Sealing helps it resist stains and keeps it looking new. It only takes a few minutes.
How do I clean granite?
Wipe it with warm water and a little mild dish soap, or a stone cleaner. Avoid bleach, vinegar and other harsh or acidic cleaners, which can wear down the seal over time.
Can I see granite slabs in person before I choose?
Yes. Visit our warehouse in Sterling, VA to see 150+ colors in person, or ask us to send photos.
Do your granite countertops come with a warranty?
Yes. Every installation comes with a 1-year labor warranty.
